Michael Downs

I have always taken photographs or used images to tell stories. I was a reluctant convert to digital photography. However, having made the switch, I am now firmly in its grasp. I like to take photographs of people in informal or competitive situations. A friend calls them “candid portraits”. I enjoy the challenge of taking an image in situations which are honest, immediate, and will never be repeated.
